Monday 23rd March, 2020
First of all, we would like to thank you all for the messages of support we have received over the weekend. This is of course a very difficult time for us – as it is for everyone – and your co-operation at this time would be greatly appreciated.
With that in mind, please see below:
April Direct Debits
At this late stage, our club management system will not allow us to cancel the April Direct Debit that is due to go out. We please therefore ask that you cancel the instruction with your bank immediately. Please be clear that we cannot refund any fees, as has always been the case, on Direct Debits that are not cancelled in time.
Any April fees that are not cancelled will be used to pay the instructor and staff wages for March and to support staff as much as we can in April.
Lots of people have asked what the membership fees will be when The Circle reopens and whether or not the Price For Life will be maintained. The truth of the matter is that at the moment we just do not know. There has been no indication of how long the closure will last and we simply do not know how The Circle will look at the end of all of this. All we can do is keep you posted with developments as and when they happen.
Lots of you lovely members have offered to continue to pay your membership fees during our period of closure. We cannot thank you enough for this wonderful gesture. However, as the future of The Circle is not known at the moment, it does not feel right in our hearts to continue to take your fees. It has taken us years to build up the timetable that we were offering at the time of closure – and there is no guarantee that any future offering we have will suit you. Whilst the support has been great, we would need a huge number of members to continue to pay to enable us to reopen at our current level. Therefore, we do please ask that you follow the Direct Debit cancellation request as above.
We have had lots of requests for online classes and this something we have considered. However, The Circle has a large number of dedicated and talented instructors and this is something we would only consider if we could offer it to them all – and logistically this just isn’t possible for us.
For all of you Les Mills fans out there – they have made a number of workouts available for free online and you can access them via http://watch.lesmillsondemand.com/at-home-workouts.
There are lots of other workouts all available online via You Tube so there are plenty of ways you can remain active.
Hire of Equipment
We have had a few enquiries with regards to hiring equipment. We are in the process of carrying out a full stocktake at the moment and we will made a decision on this in due course. If you are interested in hiring equipment, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with a list of what you would like and we will let you know if this is an option we decide to follow.
The most important thing at the moment is that everyone remains fit and well. We ask that you heed the Government’s requirements for social distancing and self-isolation where necessary. The sooner this virus is under control, the sooner we can get our lives back on track.
Share kind works with each other, pick up the phone and have a conversation, Facetime your family. Stay connected but most importantly – STAY SAFE.
With love from The Circle
